Read here for a little more about their teaching experience, what you can expect from their classes and maybe most importantly...WHY they teach!
Angelina intends to empower her students with skills to use both on and off the yoga mat to support them in their own healing journeys. She has a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and has spent most of her career in mental health. She teaches from a trauma informed lense and incorporates the chakra system in most classes. Angelina received her 200 RYT from Inner Evolution Yoga from her teachers Phil & Sandrine Fulton. She has trained with the Prison Yoga Project & Uprising Yoga and started a weekly yoga program in the San Bernardino Juvenile Detention Center.
La’Toya is a certified 200 hour yoga teacher receiving her certification from The Western Yoga College. She has been in practice for over 11 years and has a strong desire to share her gifts with marginalized communities who need access to alternative and complementary methods of care such as yoga. She offers invaluable representation in yoga and yoga spaces where black and brown people are under represented and often unwelcomed. She is impassioned with a love for teaching yin and guiding her students through a practice of sensitizing energies within and around us. In addition to teaching, La’Toya is also a master herbalist and tea alchemist. She is a gardener for the county of San Bernardino and received her certification as an herbalist from The Center of Excellence in 2015 in addition to holding her BA in health and wellness since 2017! When coming to her class, she invites you take a sip of wellness, slow down and enjoy this yogic energy with the ease it was intended.
Tiffany is a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher and recently completed her trauma informed certification with Zabie Yamasaki. Having a deep passion for yoga she has studied and practiced in many styles including Hatha, Mysore-Style Asthanga, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga. Tiffany's sweet and sunny charm creates a welcoming vibe for her students where they are invited to bring a sense of playfulness (not perfection) into their practice! With her depth of knowledge and vast experience in styles, you can expect the best "feel good" practice in Tiffany's classes. Get ready to step onto your mat, let your heart beat a little harder, wrap a smile around your face and feel the peace rise as you flow through the chaos!
Janet came to yoga over 25 years ago as an athlete with a compressed spine and low back pain. After starting yoga, the back pain she experienced did not return. She practiced yoga for years as conditioning for other sports and a way to release stress and mind chatter. After a challenging final year in the corporate world and finding a deeper connection to her practice in 2011 she decided to change gears in life. Realizing her health and well being needed to be a priority and that yoga was the connection to both, she received her 200 RYT certification in 2012 and is currently certified as a Yoga Alliance e-RYT 200 and YACEP.
Maya received her YTT Certification in June of 2022. Just a couple months later she founded her children's yoga business called Maya's Little Yogis. She currently works with schools through various programs to teach yoga to as many children as she can. Maya's passion is to guide others to a place of inner calm and a soulful wonder. Through breathwork, visualization, symbolic movement, and meditation she celebrates the stillness and the dance that is life. She intends to serve the Zen Den community through a meditation and movement class that both honors the essence of being and feeds the flame of the imagination.
Blanca teaches to empower and remind others of the power of breathing mindfully. She began her Yoga journey as a means to calm an overactive nervous system- through a consistent practice she found relief like no other. Breath combined with the asanas are a magic elixir to a more connected mind, body and spirit. Through our breath we connect back to ourselves, we tap into soul, we are reminded we are divine. With her 200 hour yoga teacher certification through Western Yoga College, it should come as no surprise that Blanca is here to simply remind you to breathe.
Dree has been a student practicing yoga for 19 years and began teaching yoga in 2019. From the moment she took her first yoga class in 2005, she knew yoga was going to be part of her life for the long run.
In addition to her 200 hr yoga certification, she teaches group fitness and works as a personal trainer. She is passionate about helping people move their bodies safely and in a way that brings them joy.
Dree is invested in students leaving her classes feeling accomplished, strong, capable, empowered and more intimately connected to who they are at their core. She hopes her students grow in their own personal practice, and that her offerings in class will have a positive impact on their lives and the world around them.
